In 2023, I was asked by Rogue Fitness to assist in building a timber-framed sled for their annual Rogue Invitational Strongman and CrossFit Contest. Rogue's in-house engineering team handled the bulk of the frame design and all of the metal fabrication, and I handled the wood fabrication. The bulk of the sled is constructed using mortise and tenon joinery, held together with wooden pegs and custom steel brackets for bracing support. The wood is Southern Yellow Pine. This was another project that my friend, Ian Schwartz, and I worked on together. What became known as the "Iron Bull Sled" was used at the 2023 Rogue Invitational in Austin, TX.
